October: What's in season?

With September on its way out, we look forward to October for inspiration on what produce is in season.

With Halloween coming up at the end of October, stews, soups and other hearty dishes will be on the cards for many. With cooler evenings and darker skies, we all enjoy curling up on the sofa under a blanket to enjoy one pot dishes that warm us from the inside.

Pumpkins will be on the top of many shopping lists this October as it is so versatile. Not only will pumpkins be seen used as lanterns with an array of funny faces it can be used in sweet and savoury dishes, it can be the main ingredient in a dish or quite happily sit as a side to other elements.
